Call for NordIAS Visiting Fellowship Programme
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS 20 JANUARY 2025
Pufendorf IAS is part of NordIAS
The Nordic Institutes of Advanced Study have formed the network NordIAS with the aim of increasing collaborations among the institutes.
The NordIAS visiting fellowship programme is intended to enhance the academic dialogue and network both for the fellows participating and for the institutes at large.
The NordIAS visiting fellowship programme is relevant for you if you see added academic value both for you as a fellow and for the receiving institute in doing a visiting fellowship for 1-3 weeks as part of your existing fellowship. Before you apply, you are encouraged to seek out potential collaborators and/or activities of relevance at the receiving institute.
Eligibility and Call for Applications
For 2025, The Pufendorf IAS accepts applications from members of the alumni network who:
- were members of a Theme 2023-2024 ( Themes Coastal Perspectives, Relentless Existential Threat, Roadmap to Biomaterials 4.0 and Sound of Democracy)
- are employed at Lund University during the duration of the planned visit.
Read the complete call for more information about what the programme includes, which outcomes are expected, which costs will be covered by whom and assessments of applications.
How about costs for travel, accomodation and salary?
The Pufendorf IAS will cover travel costs and accommodation for the duration of the visit (1-3 weeks). It is the fellow’s responsibility to arrange travel and find adequate housing. The type of housing chosen should be in line with the guidelines of Lund University. The Pufendorf IAS must approve accommodation and travel arrangements in advance. The Institute can assist with certain bookings and payments and will reimburse costs that have been cleared beforehand.
The Pufendorf IAS may remunerate salary costs for the duration of the visit up to 100 % of fulltime. This will be done through rescheduling of costs and must be approved by the head of department in advance. A certificate signed by the head of department allowing the asked for percentage to be covered by the Pufendorf IAS for the period, is to be attached to the application.
