Our alumni are golden – and deserve a bonus

The Pufendorf institute celebrates 15 years as an Institute for Advanced Study and many interdisciplinary groups have been at here and experienced the value of thinking and working together across disciplinary boundaries.

We are happy to see that Pufendorf collaborations have continued and that several have received external funding for large interdisciplinary projects based on the work done here at Pufendorf IAS. When we meet our alumni in various contexts, we get the feeling that they want to come back. As one of them put it: "Once a Pufendorfer, always a Pufendorfer"

Our alumni network

The board of Pufendorf IAS has now decided to allocate funds to actively work with alumni and offer alumni concrete opportunities to "come back". Such initiatives will be launched in 2025, but we are kicking off by announcing an opportunity for former members of a Theme 2023 – 2024 to visit and work at another Nordic institute for advanced study for 1 – 3 weeks in the coming year.

NordIAS Visiting Fellows Programme

For members of the 2023–2024 Themes, a fantastic opportunity is offered to apply for a funded research stay (during 1-3 weeks) at one of the Nordic Institutes for Advanced Study in 2025. The deadline for applications is 20 January 2025.
