Personalised war: How the genomics revolution will reshape war, espionage and tyranny
Spy agencies suddenly seem so interested in human DNA sequences - why?
In this open lecture with renowned biosecurity expert Dr. Filippa Lentzos from King’s College London, we discuss how emerging biomedical technologies could be misused and thereby pose a threat to human health, individual freedoms, and national security in the near future. Among other topics, we will discuss risks from synthetic biology boosted by artificial intelligence and ask the question why spy agencies suddenly seem interested in human DNA sequences. What should be feared and why?
The lecture is free of charge, however seats are limited. We kindly ask you to register as soon as possible and no later than 18 October. Link to registration
The lecture and the following panel talk is hosted by the Pufendorf IAS' Theme Greyzone Genomics.
